Mayor’s Civic Service sees procession through Ipswich

The Mayor of Ipswich, joined by fellow Mayors from across Suffolk and Civic Leaders will process between Ipswich Town Hall and St Mary-le-Tower Church for the annual Civic Service in Ipswich on 15 October. 

The procession will leave the Town Hall at around 3.15pm for the Civic Service at 3.30pm, led by Reverend Tom Mumford with the magnificent Choir of St Mary-le-Tower also performing.

Councillor Lynne Mortimer, Ipswich Mayor says:

“The service is an annual event to celebrate the town and those who perform civic duties for the benefit of our communities in Ipswich.

It is an uplifting occasion and an opportunity to come together for a service of thanks in our county town.

The focus of the service is young people, recognising the work of my two charities, Brave Futures and Inspire.”

St Mary Le Tower Church is in Tower Street in the town centre, with all welcome to attend the service and watch the procession.
