Activities

You are here

Orwell Country Park is a large space and allows for a range of activities including:

The park has also hosted one-off outdoor and wildlife themes activities across the year. Visit www.wildipswich.org for more details.

There is also the opportunity to volunteer with the Ipswich Borough Council Wildlife and Parks and Cemeteries teams, which includes work across all of the green spaces in Ipswich, including Orwell Country Park. Why not get involved? Details can be found here.

Unfortunately no cycling is permitted in Orwell Country Park but please see Ipswich cycle routes.

The sensitive nature within the site means we cannot allow camping and fire construction, and access to motorbikes. We ask people digging bait for personal use to follow the voluntary code of conduct, while commercial bait-digging is not permitted.

Antisocial behaviour is unacceptable at all times to ensure all users of Orwell Country Park, including the wildlife, are happy.

To report any damage or antisocial behaviour occurring in the country park please contact Ipswich Borough Council’s Park Patrol Hotline on 01473 432132.
