Greener Ipswich project

You are here

The Council is carrying out a public consultation as part of plans for the Greener Ipswich project.

The project funded by the Government's Levelling Up; Town Fund, is a partnership between the community, businesses, and Ipswich Borough Council.

The project aims to make the Town Centre more attractive and sustainable by creating a variety of greening opportunities and spaces through the town, removing the pallet of grey, highlighting the historic architecture, creating a green trail that is a destination linking the Town Centre to the Waterfront to encourage social, economic, and cultural prosperity, whilst enhancing wellbeing, creating cohesive communities, and enabling further carbon sequestration.

The public are invited to take part in the consultation until the closing date of Thursday 22 August 2024.

The public can view information and share any comments at drop-in sessions at Ipswich Town Hall, Gallery 2 on Thursday 15th August 2024.

  • Session 1: 9.30am - 11.30am
  • Session 2: 5.30pm - 7.30pm
