Ipswich town centre spring clean ahead of re-opening

Published7th April 2021

The spring clean of Ipswich town centre continues this week in preparation for the return of non-essential retail on 12 April.

Over recent weeks, Ipswich Borough Council’s cleansing team have begun a programme of deep cleaning that has seen them pressure washing, litter picking and removing gum from high footfall and hard to reach areas across the town.

Chris Taylor, Waste & Cleansing Operations Manager at Ipswich Borough Council, said: “Our teams work hard to keep Ipswich clean all year round but with businesses due to re-open their doors and welcome back customers for the first time in over three months, we want to make sure the town looks at its best.”
