Top shows visiting Ipswich Theatres in 2024!

There’s lots to look forward to this year with plenty of stars from the world of music and theatre set to perform at Ipswich Regent Theatre and the Corn Exchange.

Coming to Ipswich Regent Theatre for one week only from Monday 15 January is the award-winning musical Jesus Christ Superstar. With music and lyrics by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, this mesmerizing new production, set against the backdrop of an extraordinary series of events during the final weeks in the life of Jesus Christ, this story is seen through the eyes of Judas.

The next week-long West End show to appear at the Ipswich Regent Theatre is The Woman in Black from Monday 4 March to Saturday 9 March. Delivering atmosphere, illusion and horror, this critically acclaimed international theatre event continues to delight and terrify audiences of all generations.

Lovers of ballet can enjoy productions from Varna International Ballet with a weekend dedicated to showcasing the very best performances of The Nutcracker on Thursday 1 February, Sleeping Beauty on Friday 2 February and Swan Lake on Saturday 3 February.

There’s great music on offer for fans of all ages, with The Glenn Miller Orchestra promising to transport audiences to the dance halls and jazz clubs of the 1940s at the Ipswich Regent Theatre on Sunday 11 February.

Alexander O’Neal brings his Time to Say Goodbye: Farewell World Tour on Tuesday 7 May, with the soul star offering the audience the opportunity to see never-before-seen-photos, testimonies. and tributes, all set to the tune of some of Alex's most beloved songs from his legendary catalogue including “Criticize,” “Fake” and “If You Were Here Tonight.”

Following a sold-out tour across the UK earlier this year, Fisherman’s Friends have announced a brand-new major headline tour for 2024 including a show at Ipswich Regent Theatre on Saturday 11 May 2024.

Top comedy names will also be taking to the Ipswich Regent Theatre stage, including Ed Gamble with his show Hot Diggity Dog on Saturday 16 March, Jimmy Carr with his show Laughs Funny on Saturday 1 June and John Bishop who will be bringing his Back At It tour to Ipswich on both Thursday 11 and Friday 12 July.

Don’t forget, there are plenty of fantastic shows to enjoy at the Corn Exchange this year, with highlights including comedy stars; Sophie McCartney: Tired & Tested on Friday 23 February, Iain Stirling with his show – Relevant on Thursday 18 April and Frank Skinner with his show – 30 Years of Dirt on Friday 7 June.

Another popular show at the Corn Exchange is A Night At The Darts on Saturday 18 May which will feature competitive matches between all your favourite darts players as well as the opportunity to get up close with them.
