Tree planting in town centre

Published10th January 2020

A tree has been planted in Ipswich town centre thanks to generous funding by the Rotary Club of Ipswich East with the support of the Bad Salzuflen Rotary Club in Germany which the club is twinned with.

President of Ipswich East Rotarians is Liz Harsant gathered her colleagues for the planting in Giles Circus. She said: “This is a very important meeting place in the heart of the town centre and I was delighted that the Rotarians – and our friends from Germany – got together to replace a tree that was damaged early last year. I also want to thank the Borough Council for their support.”
