Energy Performance Certificates

As part of Ipswich Borough Council’s Asset Management Strategy, commitment to decarbonisation and reducing fuel poverty, we are taking a proactive approach to improving the energy efficiency and sustainability of our properties by carrying out Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) surveys on all our properties.

Our contractor Pennington Choices has been instructed to complete the EPC surveys on our behalf.

Handford Homes

Handford Homes develops new housing for Ipswich Borough Council.  Our first sixty homes off Old Norwich Road, Ipswich were completed in March 2021. We’re currently building sixteen flats on Grimwade Street and another twenty-four properties in south west Ipswich, while we’re due to start onsite at Revenswood and Bibb Way in 2022 to create another two hundred and forty-six new homes between the two sites.

Most of our new homes become part of Ipswich Borough Council’s housing portfolio and are let at affordable rent by the Council but some get let at market rent by Handford Lettings (our subsidiary). At the forthcoming Ravenswood development, we’ll also be building some starter homes for sale.

Handford Homes is owned by Ipswich Borough Council.
