The Constable collection

Christchurch Mansion is the home to one of the world’s most important collections of Constable’s work and is now the only place in his own region where paintings by him can be seen. Included in the collection are:

  • The Interior of East Bergholt Church
    c. 1800 
Pen and grey wash of the Constable family’s local church. On loan from East Bergholt Parochial Church Council.
  • Ann Constable (1748-1815) the artist’s mother
