Community Cash Grant allocations for 2023/24 are set to be agreed by Councillors next week.
A report to Executive on 7 February presents the proposed grant funding to voluntary and community groups for the coming financial year, totalling £315,000. The grants are all targeted at organisations which are focused on supporting residents during the cost-of-living crisis, supporting vulnerable residents and health improvement.
Grants between £5,000 and £95,000 are being considered, with some proposed for three years and others for one or two years.
Councillor Bryony Rudkin, Ipswich Borough Council Portfolio Holder for Communities and Sport, says:
"It is vital that this grant programme is targeted at organisations that support those most in need. Voluntary and Community organisations carry out vital work with those affected by the cost-of-living crisis, those who are vulnerable and those with health issues. These grants will enable the recipient organisations to make a real difference to residents.”
