A new online resource has been created for Ipswich Museum that will be a hub for information during its redevelopment.
The new website is the place to go for information and updates about the redevelopment project, including the opportunity to get involved as a volunteer, have your say on further consultations and share memories of the museum.
There’s also a history of Ipswich Museum and ‘learning for all’ section aimed at schools and community groups.
Councillor Carole Jones, Ipswich Borough Council Portfolio Holder for Planning and Museums, says:
“The launch of this new dedicated website marks another step forward for Ipswich Museum - an online resource for schools and community groups whilst refurbishment of the building takes place.
Visitors to the website can also find out about supporting the museum as a volunteer, share memories, and engage with further consultations as the redevelopment progresses.”
The website can be found at: www.ipswichmuseum.co.uk
Ipswich Museum is set to reopen in 2025 with an exciting events and activities programme, new cafe and improved access to the museum’s galleries and collections.
