Debt can significantly affect your quality of life, however there are many agencies that can help provide long term solutions to debt and help you manage your finances.
Modern slavery is a blanket term used when someone is coerced or forced to do something they don’t want to, and another person gains from this exploitation. Modern slavery includes, slavery, domestic servitude, forced labour and human trafficking. Victims of modern slavery are usually held against their will and are often unseen. Victims of modern slavery can be any gender, age, nationality, or ethnicity.
Domestic abuse is defined in the Domestic Abuse Act 2021 as abusive behaviour by one person towards another person who is personally connected to them (this can be an intimate relationship or family member).

Under section 213B of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2018, specified public authorities are required to notify a housing authority of service users they consider may be homeless or threatened with homelessness (it is likely they will become homeless within 56 days).

Our Housing Options Team will ensure that housing problems are identified early to help prevent you from becoming homeless.
Most young people who have been in care are entitled to help if they become homeless. The help you are entitled to depends on your age and personal circumstances.
