Ipswich Regent Theatre and Corn Exchange have announced the release of their new brochure for next season – highlighting a captivating line-up of shows that is set to entertain audiences into this autumn and winter.
Packed with entertainment from musicals, music, comedy, dance - not forgetting Ipswich Regent Theatre’s pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk - there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Lovers of West End musicals can relish top touring productions on their doorstep including Olivier award-winning smash hit show Come From Away (2 – 6 July), An Officer and a Gentleman – the hit romance movie which has been adapted into a musical (10 – 14 September) and the family-friendly Only Fools and Horses (7-11 January 2025).
Some of the biggest names in comedy will be performing in Ipswich, with John Bishop: Back at it (11 – 12 July), Sarah Millican: Late Bloomer (19-22 September) as well as Katherine Ryan: Battleaxe (10 October) and Russell Kane: Hyperactive (30 November).
Live music is also a major feature, with music of all genres from across the decades taking centre stage here in Ipswich. The Pretenders bring their current tour to Ipswich (26 October) following the release of their latest album and Ipswich will also host sell-out shows with Squeeze, Elvis Costello, and Scouting for Girls. Musical maestro Jools Holland his Rhythm and Blues Band (2 November) returns to Ipswich, along with shows from Midge Ure (27 November), Jamie Cullum (18 November) and Rick Wakeman (13 December).
Top visiting tribute acts include Whitney: Queen of the Night which comes direct from the West End (26 September) and, from the USA, the world’s most successful Elvis tribute show, Elvis World Tour (2 October). For a night like no other, Radio Gaga brings the ultimate tribute to Queen (3 October) and lovers of reggae music can experience an unforgettable evening with Legend: The Music of Bob Marley (1 November).
Classical music fans will be captivated by the Wolsey Orchestra (12 October), the Ipswich Symphony Orchestra (30 November) and the Ipswich Choral Society (14 December).
